I've got 0.779, and it seems I have installation problems.

I've extracted the zip file to the game directory under Steam (\steamapps\common\One Unit Whole Blood) yet when I execute the BloodGDX.jar, the button below is grayed out with the warning "Blood resources not found!"

Any help would be appreciated.

When the BloodGDX launcher opens, what directory does it point to? Make sure that directory matches the folder containing Blood's resources.

Be sure that your folder have such files:

"blood.ini",
"blood.rff",
"sounds.rff",
"tiles000.art",
"tables.dat",
"surface.dat",

or use other folder (not in Program Files)

@Nachuro It points to the default installation folder of Blood: One Unit Whole Blood, Steam edition. My Steam folder is on another hard drive, so the exact address is:

D:\Steam\steamapps\common\One Unit Whole Blood

@m210 I verified that all files are in the folder, and Java is up to date. I honestly can't think of what could be going wrong.

Yes, and I've also moved the entire folder to another location, and disabled my antivirus in case it interfered with something. Nothing so far.

I had the same problem. The issue was all caps names of required files, specificly "BLOOD.INI" & "TILES000.DAT" the ones had "I" letters I think. When I renamed those files to lowercase the play button activated.

Hi!

I tried a little bit with an icon with transparent background, but it looked a bit weird since 64x64. Instead with black background the icon includes (i forget in the original post) a 48x48 version what looks ok and a 32x32 what looks weird too.

Maybe i need to try again with another "hand" source, i will try when i have some time.

It will enabling automatically if you put bloodgdx.jar in blood folder.

under linux appdata folder still is being generated under /home/user path.

maybe it should be written withs os distinguishing ?

So, as you can see since 0.778 nothing helps...Linux is a very strange OS. Maybe I will understand the path problem someday.

The fov is still no the same as in the original, the crosshair is not completely at the center of the screen, when you play with no mouse aiming, you can barely see whats under your feet, this is especially if your playing with the full hud and that is because of fov when it comes to up and down, not left and right, other than that is exactly like the original, only more smoother.

Hi!

I checked version 779 i found those:

1. sometimes my mouse is being blocked and cant turn 360 it just can turn 45 degrees left and right that is all and it happens often but sometimes when I run the game again it fixes itself and can turn 360 normally
2. i am now not sure if it is now fixed or not but I had a feeling caleb is too often saying something when he is left inactive I dont now remember if it was any simillar like that in original game
3. after level completion screen I had to press space twice to cotinue
4. in user contents transition from files to directories works good but in my opinion it would be much more intuitive if it would work by pressing tab key as it is in eduke for example

but this with mouse happens only in 779 in very early versions happens maybe just only 2 while I run the game like 20 times or more

Привет, на forums.duke4.net прочитал про беззвучные вторые ролики. Проверил на последней v0.779 - действительно cutscenes с индексом В идут без эвука.

Это легко проверить на короткой финальной карте e4m8 "The Hall of the Epiphany" эпизода Dead Reckoning - (CutSceneB=cs6.smk и CutWavB=cs6822m.wav) убиение мирного гражданина после победы над Чернобогом проходит в полной тиши. В лог-файле об ошибках не сообщается.

Я заметил, что звук таки идет, но из сабвуфера. Отключи его в настройках и проверь, появится ли звук. А я постараюсь разобраться, почему он идет "снизу"

Привет! У меня обычная настольная стереосистема 2.0 без сабвуфера и по настройкам она же - мне отключить саб негде .

Заметил, что беззвучно идут cutscenes с индексом В только если имеются и  cutscenes с индексом А - это первый и четвертый эпизоды. В эпизодах 2 и 3 Блада с одними видеороликами индекса В - звук есть .

check if you have oracle java runtime/framework installed. It might be huge difference between versions. For example open java and oracle java.

I played now version 778 in linux it is more choppy when I move in any direction (screen move little then stops then moves then stops very quickly but it is not that smooth as it was but very choppy).

Maybe you are disabled interpolation? Check it in options

interpolation is enabled I just checked it
