Just wanted to say, I am really enjoying your GDX releases so far. Outstanding work, Thank you!

I even played through the entire Witchaven with the current test-release, although it crashed a couple of times, had that weird invisible enemy bug in the water and the end game trigger didn't work but it was still 100 times more enjoyable than any DosBox emulation of that game.

I was wondering if there is a chance for a Redneck Rampage GDX release in the near future, even if it is just another test-release. The Redneck Games really need some love. Pretty please? :)

Исходя из новостей в следующем релизе поведение "зверинца" будет на 100% как в оригинале - здорово! Меня устраивало в принципе и текущее, только двухголовый цербер заметно был более "ленивый". Также будут воспроизводится стандартные 4 demo.
У меня (и наверное у многих ) при загрузке игры в меню проигрывается музыка из внешнего пака, в связи с этим вопрос:
- будет ли конфликт между demo и музыкой в меню (звуковая какофония)? Надо будет отключать музыку из меню или вы сделаете какую-то регулирующую опцию?
Если это избыточно или трудоемко, то я с пониманием приму верховенство demo над музыкой в менюшке.

Hi m210 you made blood really live again!

although when I am playing Blood GDX there is a few thinks that maybe would be fixed:

1. I see sky as a big wall object can it be more parallaxed ? is there any fix to it ?

2. I see hell dogs not as much "annoying" and smart as they would be in original. what i mean is they are stuck to the edges of walls many times when chasing you.

and there are some more thinks which would be very nice to see as well

1. multiplayer tcp/ip

2. command line support so we could make some scripts for addons which everybody likes

3. some kind of HRP for blood would be just awesome

4. is there a way to bring back bloody hand as a mouse pointer in blood ?

1. You can use skybox only instead of paper sky

2. Hellhound has a same AI. The next version will hav e demo playing, so you will can record demo file in original game and compare it with Bloodgdx.

4. At the next release you will can choose a several styles of mouse cursor

Other points will be available in far future

Hey, one more thing. i noticed, that there's something called EGWhaven out. It says, that its a enhanced version of Witchaven, for DOS. It fixes many bugs and oversights, from the original version. Maybe you could use that.

Hi m210,

I'm a little bit confusing. Is there any way, how play BloodGDX with HRP (High resolution pack)? I played BloodCM and put into autoload folder HRP and worked properly. But in this version can't work music and cutscenes. In BloodGDX version is music and cutscenes, but doesn't work HRP. Sorry for maybe dumb question :). BTW absolutely brilliant job, what you are doing!!!

There is no HRP for Blood. BloodCM hrp doesn't support by Blood, because it's a mod for eDuke32

I'm running BGDX on jPortable. There are some sound issues, but otherwise it runs just fine.

I've been using BloodGDX 0.785 for some time, had a bit of some issues here and there, but nothing too major.

Although after upgrading to a higher version (0.788 if I remember right, now 0.789) I have suddenly lost audio.

The cutscenes play, the music plays (both versions) but the audio simply doesn't work at all.

Any idea why?

If you using JRE9, then downgrade it to JRE8, because JRE9 unfinished crap

m210, you should put in the readme.txt file that JRE8 is needed, and where to download it from, for people who don't know the technicalities of JAVE (myself included).

I apparently had Java 8 Update 151 before, updated to Java 8 Update 162 and it still has missing sounds.

Any way to debug it?

I was able to fix this by doing a clean reinstall.

When I did it, I found out that one 'soundpack' was trifled with, so everything is alright now.
